COURSE LENGTH: ENTIRE DAY

Take a full day to deepen your skills and appreciation for this particular branch of green woodworking. You’ll learn to use a carver’s hatchet, sloyd knife, and hook knife on either green wood or salvaged seasoned timber. This sustainable approach to rare woods like Huon Pine gives you a unique hands-on experience of crafting a beautiful, useful object. We will discuss wood selection and how to follow the grain of the wood to make a strong spoon. You'll go home with a spoon that feels good in the hand and carries the memory of the day.
